Alitalia Airport delivers a full range of ground services (passenger and ramp services, load control and supervision). Every effort is made to minimize the time spent on the ground while offering the highest service standard; and this can only be achieved through excellence. Alitalia Airport was established as an independent company in July 2000; since then, its "portfolio" of Client-Airlines has been progressively expanded. Alitalia Airport "mission" is an efficient service delivery, in line with users’ needs; at the same time, such service needs to be virtually "invisible" so as to convey a positive image of the Client-Airline. Its activity has constantly been characterized by a continuous technology upgrade and investment in human resource training. Its ultimate goal is a continuously improving quality of service. In fact, the company has obtained the UNI EN ISO 9001 : 2000 certification for the Fiumicino International Airport, released by Det Norske Veritas on 6 September 2001. Certification covers every Operational Process performed at the Fiumicino HUB (Passenger Assistance, Aircraft Assistance and Operational Coordination); moreover, it covers the corporate functions that contribute to the final service addressed to Clients; e.g., resource training, procurement from strategic suppliers, Marketing. Alitalia Airport has been the first Italian company to certify the whole of its Airport Processes. In a nutshell: - quality in the staff training
- quality in designing and planning services
- qualità di impianti, attrezzature e mezzi
